The copy provided by the National Library of Sweden does not contain any instructions on how to generate the music — it is just a pile of the musical bars. A bunch of information of the Kaleidakustikon was collected by Asger Askov Blekinge and is available on his GitHub. The edition is dated 1817 by Lars Thielen in his article about music generators. Asger dates this edition between 1820 and 1821.
